Project Description

CoeCorner Events welcomed Laureus World Academy Member Sean Fitzpatrick onto Zoom.

120 guests tuned in virtually, as Sean Fitzpatrick joined CowCorner for a fascinating livestream revealing the work of Laureus Sport For Good and his inspirational rugby career in an All Blacks shirt. Step-by-step, Sean walked us through his career, his childhood, his relationship with Jonah Lomu, the team-talks he gave at half-time and how he helped transform All Blacks Rugby on his journey to becoming one of the greatest leaders of all time.

Sean's life since retirement has been devoted to improving the lives of others and he now sits as Laureus' World Academy Chairman. Laureus Sport For Good, inspired by Nelson Mandela's words that 'Sport has the power to change the world,' support more than 200 programmes globally that use the power of sport to transform lives. Since launching 20 years ago, Laureus have raised £150m for their 'sport for development' sector, helping to change the lives of almost 6 million children and young people. The aim is simple. To end violence, discrimination and disadvantage using the power of sport and CpwCorner stand behind their inititiative.

Thank you to those who joined us!
